Bike Carbs Finally Fitted. Just Need A Rr Session

Recommended Posts

Finally got them fitted .and working .

Id like to say I knew nothing of bike carbs how to fit them or anything.

I had some issues with the inlet manifold leaking air,but a new thicker gasket and some sealer sorted that one out.

I got it running on the standard jets but those weren't big enough ,so fitted larger ones on advice from a forum member.

Been for a quick spin earlier,it runs ok but obviously needs setting up which will be done asap.

It does make some nice bangs and pops with a rorty induction noise.

A huge thanks goes out to Dan e for me pestering him with messages as he used to have fireblade carbs so was a man in the know, and to mark b and terry aka tazzmann for me pestering them with calls and texts on weekends when I was stuck and at aloss.

Another top reason for joining the club and the s yorks mob is one of the best.

Finally got the carbs set up and running today.

Took it to a place called Autotronix at laughten en le morthen. 5 mins from the s yorks meeting place.

Guy seemed very knowledgeable and confident and sorted the jets mixture and timing tweaks.recommended place to go imo

Within yards I could tell it was more responsive and powerful.

Its a standard non injection pinto, with the rh 4 branch and a large repackable silencer with accuspark vac advance dizzy.

Outputs were 114.3bhp and 129 lbsft ,I was happy with those figures
