or a kit half done i.e wiring, fuel brakes and etc done so all we need to do is engine, box, brakes so on lol

Suspect Mr Chairman would think that would not be challenging enough for a club like ours.:-) :-D

From being escorted by Terry “Mr Sheen” down the M1 at high speed towards Donnington!!! Being helped by Alan who built my tent on arrival or escorted home by Stuart “ Wheely good builder!” & Simon “Disco Si” I have had my hands held by a club member all of the way, what a weekend, what a club and what a great group of people.

Big thanks to the build team for all the help and working your socks off:-

Nick “Shaft” everything engine and making me smile with your rigger boots and that cowboy hat, Terry for painting and making everything shinny, Steve for the help finding parts, Chris for all things tools, Simon for making me burst my sides when he broke the chair on the first night, Richard for everything engine and those lights that look mint, oh and Phil for those grommets they are perfect....

I am sure i have missed some people out however the entire club members had a hand in the build, eitheron in or around my car THANKS.

I have Just about recovered from the weekend i slept like a baby Sunday night and if i am honest most of Monday, it has all been a bit of a fantastic blur, a big THANKS to everyone who gave time, effort, blood, sweat and tears to get the car sorted, i was a bit of a rush at the end however in the words of Hannibal Smith “I love it when a plan comes together” it was an absolute pleasure working with you all and definitely the “A” team, A few small jobs still to sort on the car however i am looking forward to seeing you all again at the next event. This time no pressure just FUN with some new friends.....

A special thanks to Mark and Phil for all the help and support organising the event prior to the show.

A special thanks for the help looking after Alex he had a great time kicking the storm troopers and chasing the Stig all weekend.

PS :- I am a new member of the club and was thinking about building a car from a kit! i was just wondered if any members could give me a hand and some tips in building the car one weekend?...... LOL

Going to make more Phone calls this week to see if we can give you lot a much bigger challenge, seeing that you made that one look easy. I saw the blood and sweat but I didn't see any tears which means it wasn't stressful enough. ;)

I've been following this thread and may I say well done to all, I look forward to CKC editorial on this.

An outstanding achievement

It's a shame you wasn't there to see it live Paul, it was so humbling to see, a group of people that didn't particularly know each other working together close knit, the ones with more experience made sure they gave reason and fully explained what and why they were doing certain jobs without patronising the helper. The whole club who attended gave support whether it was hands on the stand, shouting humorous banter, fetching, carrying, holding, cleaning or just being there.

But how many cried themselves to sleep???? Lol. Or was that just due to insect bites.
