What Tyres?

Recommended Posts

Just thinking about what tyres to buy for my new wheels, I need good dry grip with reasonable wet, tyres I won't use are toyo t1r didn't like them on my atomic, Yokohama spec 2 seem to remember poor wet grip on the westy, toyo r888 great in dry but lethal in rain (ask CMA) I,m down to federal rsr 595s unless anyone else can suggest alternatives

As I told you mate.

The Fed's are a cracking tyre in wet and dry. Almost same grip as a 888 but decent wet performance as well. They take a bit longer than a 888 to warm up but once there...wow. Surprised me around Blyton. These are spec'd by Mazda as their race series tyre, so can't be too shabby :db:

Believe it or not the car has been out in the wet quite a few times  and I've had no grip issues in damp conditions. If you shop around you should be able to get them for £75 a corner
