Non Registered Car

I have been offered a 2004 car that has never been registered only 87 miles on clock

 

How can i check out the ownership?

How did he manage to get 87 miles on the clock if it's not registered?

 

In and out the garage for 9 years ?

If it has never been registered I think it should still have a V55 which would enable you to register it. I still don't know how you prove that the person who has it owns it other than a bill of sale from the dealer who supplied it.

Ok got some more info Its has been in dark storage a Merc SLK 230 2003 -4 spec

 

was owned by a dealer who would advertise cars in back of sunday papers

Looking for £7K with it registered on a new plate

The trouble with cars that have been stored for long periods is that lots of hidden bits seize or start to perish and these need to be factored into your price.

 

Eg, tyres, brake seals (calipers & master cylinder), clutch, steering rack gaiters, rubber boots etc. It may also probably need a change of oil and brake fluid (plus any fuel that has been sat in the tank & pipes.
