2B Interior Panels

Hi all, I purchased an unfinished 2B kit a few weeks back and there are quite a few things I would like to change. Firstly the interior panels (rear panel, firewall, gearbox tunnel etc.) my question is do these panels have to be constructed in steel of will aluminium suffice? Currently my gearbox tunnel is made up of about four sheets of mild and stainless steel riveted but not sealed .

All these panels will be carpeted and I will probably never see them again but I'd just like to know they are right.

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

For safety I would only use mild or stainless steel, but stick to one or the other.

The firewall is exactly that...to prevent fire spreading from the engine bay to the cockpit.

The fuel lines will likely run inside the tunnel & the tank is behind the seats.

Aluminium will melt/burn at a much lower temp than steel.

Not only that but ally may well fracture in time & the tunnel sides provide

a major structural support for the floor plan. They do consist of 4 separate sheets to conform to various curves.
