Just had a look at road tax fees on DVLA site. For the 2.0 Zetec which falls into the 186-200 CO2/g.km rage is £465!!!!!!!

 

Is this correct or am Ireading it wrong

I thought the £210 (or whatever it is now) for my 1.6 pinto on age related plate (old rules) was expensive.

 

My 03 1.8 BMW 316 is £155 i think.

so does that only apply to 'new' registrations. I.E 2014 plates.

If you did age-related or Q-plate would that count?

Thought Q plate defaults to old rules as they don't know what the age is so CO banding wouldn't apply.

 

Would be almost worth sticking the car through IVA with a pre-cat zetec on a q or age-related plate. Then swap back to new zetec.

It's just passed its IVA on Tuesday with it new crate 1999 engine

Thats a good option Mower Man.....I have got a certificate of newness from GBS as "Robin Hood Zero Z" so not sure if that would work as a PLG

you'd just have to panel the back side windows wouldn't you

 

or just take some triangular bits of plywood with you in the boot that you can show the DVLA that they are the back side windows, might be hard holding them up when you are driving though

Hi taxed my zero with new zetec on a 63 plate cost £225
