Ok, you have got to tell now. What were your suspicions about the problem?

simon it had a very slight tap under load but fine when on a steady throttle, took cam cover off this afternoon and all at the top is well so must be the big ends have let go. Absolutely seized solid couldn't turn the engine at all

Did you manage to leave nice long skid marks down the motorway ? (or any to match inside the car ... )

 

Must have been a little scary. How did you get it off the carriage way?

The 2nd it started to seize I dipped the clutch, lucky for me there was a layby so I swerved from the outside lane a bit sharply across the front of a van into it, passed the van off. It was that or the fast lane of the a52 in rush hr. Just mega lucky the layby was there
