Pinto To Zetec Alternator Pulley

Hi

 

I want to use the alternator off my pinto for my zetec ....where can I get a ribbed pulley to replace the v pulley ?

i have seen them for sale on the tiger sports car website

It'd be as cheap to buy a second hand alternator and remove pulley (local breakers to save postage?)

The escort ones have the same mounting points as the pinto and have basic wiring too without the intelligent charging that newer alternators have.

hi , thanks but it seems the mondeo alternator is too big to fit under my bike carbs , is the escort one smaller? pinto one fits ok

Escort one I had was the same size as the pinto alternator and shares the same mounting points.

Hi any starter motor /alt recon shop sells ribbed pulleys to fit ACR type alternators

There like £3

Just make sure your alt has 17mm shaft not 15mm as you'll need to make up a sleeve to convert !!
