Centre Console Covering?

I'm still working on my centre console, what does everyone cover the bare alloy with? Leatherette? Vinyl? And where did you buy it from?

I used alcantara on my dash and centre console. Picked it up on a stand at Stoneleigh.

mine was covered in carpet which was still hard on the corners.

 

so I had a padded carbon vinyl cover made which attatches with Velcro

Be careful what you buy. I got some black vinyl locally and it didn't wear well. Got some from an upholsterer at a show and it was miles better.

I have just reupholstered my 2B. I used carpet from Mega Van Mats. Good quality, it comes in 2 meter wide length and can be purchased by the meter. I used duct tape on all the edges to soften them before laying the carpet.

I used Camping mat for side carpets and yoga mat which is softer for armrest and dash

I used Robin Hood carpets as they came ready cut but made side arm rests and tunnel top out of sign makers plastic

Snapper, I just noticed the piccy of the indicator stalks etc...

I would love to replace the horrible bog standard black plastic sierra ones with chrome or alloy ones.

Got them off eBay years ago ready done

You loose horn and washers with this conversion but have horn on steering and washers on momentary lever cut in to cowling

cut off originals and drill and tap if I remember correctly
