Where To Get Gas Bottles And Reg From

I have a small welder but it takes the disposable bottles, looking to convert to a larger set up.

 

wheres best place to go for a regulator and bottle. ??

I got my regulator at Stoneleigh many years ago, just a one gauge one which is fine. About £15.00

 

Most gas suppliers "hire" out welding gas for mig but you get into deposits and such.

 

Do you have a friendly local publican who's hops you regularly fall over with, he might "lend" you one while you empty it.

Ian's route for a bottle is cheap (unless you need to buy a LOT o beer) but the proper gas from some-one like BOC or Air Products will transform your weld from " it will do" into "aint that good". All to do with the mix of gases & the lack of moisture; there is even a drop of oxygen in the Argon Shield Light that I use. IMO & HTH

Search for hobbyweld. They sell gas all over country and you don't pay rent for the bottle.
