I have an old (unloved by many) 1600 Pinto with 2ltr.cam and Weber 32/36, it is the original engine from the build in 1996 and has done 54000 miles in the kit for three different owners, and an unknown number in the doner. It will still 0-60 in about 11 secs and pull 95mph in 5th on the flat.

Anyone that knows the roads in Northumberland will know massive power is wasted up here, all you need is a well balanced car to keep up with others

Hi Andy....

has your backend stopped grumbling yet?

No Bob. To be honest, I hardly use the thing so haven't had any time to look at it. 400 miles in 5 years is all it's done. Hopefully in the next month or so I shall get it back in fully working order again.

Who on earth told you that? I assume they were trying to sell you a replacement at the time?

hi theduck you may well be right at the time tuner was also talking about the ecu he was developing for gbs, so perhaps it was sales talking? but car runs fine so no ecu change here unless nessasary colin
