Temperature Sender Zetec

Does anyone know where I can get a temperature sender that fits into the top of the thermostat housing on a silvertop zetec .....apparently the one in it is for the ecu and won't work a temp gauge ......or alternatively a adapter plug so i can use my pinto sender

 

.....everything else works ....had its first run out ...just no temp gauge

Don't most mondeo zetec Tstat housings have holes for two senders? One on top at 12 o'clock for the ECU sender and one down at about 7 o'clock on the nearside/exhaust side of the stat housing for the gauge sender. Have you somehow got a non mondeo housing? The mondeo gauge senders are usually two pin. I stuck a pinto sender in that one but had to earth the body as it is single wire and earth from the body.
