Was outside the old chapel weatherspoons apparently but was no longer there half hour later.

insurance have agreed to settle and just waiting on value now. Problem is my insurance now. Cost has literally tripled and so insuring any car is going to be hideously expensive. the other problem this brings is that I may not be able to afford to insure the hood when the time comes.

I am currently sat in work and feel physically sick and ready to cry. Literally everything I have been working and saving for, car related and not, has been destroyed by the theft of this car.

I'm going to need to insure the hood in the next 2 months so have requested a revised price.

Hopefully I am being over dramatic but with the out of pocket expenses and insurance excess etc I am going to end up massively worse off and in a much lower spec car paying even more in insurance with the savings we had for having work at home done and IVA etc wiped out.

Edit to add: I am posting just vent as you guys understand better than most and can't vent to the wife because it will stress her out and using want to upset her.

Privilege. Will never use them or any of the direct line group of insurers ever again. Been great over the theft but were awful over a none fault accident claim that the other side had admitted full liability on.

So a few hundred yards away from the Police station (when we had a manned one in Darwen). I took a slow mooch through the town on my way home and swung past the scrap yard but nothing leapt out. There is some sort of garage on Branch Road that seems to specialise in Scoobys. There were two older white ones sat outside when I went past but the workshop roller-shutter was down which is odd in my experience ( and it's sunny here today). I'll keep my eyes open when I pass over the next few days.
