Wet Drive In Belgium 2011

Must be one of the scariest drives of my life and it got worse as it got dark.

I had forgot how bad the visibility was, Now i remember

Yeah remember that well!!!

 

Even us in tin tops had the same problem hanging on the car in front. Last we saw of Sir Chris for the evening was at a toll booth before disappearing into the gloom.

visibility's like that every day with my eyes!

Was funny how we stayed dry until I hit that standing water half a mile from the gite and Laura ended up looking like a drowned rat

I remember that we took so long after leaving moterway after stopping to put roof on, That Ian phoned to see if we had got lost, we were stuck at an allnight fuel pump awating a local truck filling a huge tank from only one pump working.

Yes it was a very interesting drive to say the least even in a tintop

Cant get the video to work. I only get a grey screen with the sound of an engine in the background :-) .

It's just as well memory doesn't remember it being THAT wet ---- maybe a wiper on the camera lens old of improved vision.

Trust me Bob it was that bad behind the screen.

 

The GoPro camera has a fish eye lens cover that repels water as it hits the case,

I remember driving up the M1 coming back from Donnington a few years ago in similar conditions. Wipers couldn't cope, there was as much water coming down the inside of the screen as the outside, It was so torrential you couldn't see the white lines and only able to do 15-20mph I was waiting for an artic to come over the top of me. Fortunately it didn't last long but I ended up with wet pants either from the rain or another source.
