Mending Water Bottle

I've got a water bottle that leaks, and as such is chuff all use. Any ideas how I might repair it? The brass 'ring' is quite loose in the alloy material of the bottle so water just leaks out through the gap. Any ideas gratefully received. ta, bri

Use it as an overflow bottle or as an oil catch tank then it won't matter if it leaks around the top, in a decent carrier it would look good. Seriously through as a drinks bottle as you say it is chuff all use.

Or cut an o ring from a piece of thin rubber

Thanks for replies. Not sure I'd like to use it for drinks if top was glued/loctited in TBH, that was first thing I thought of. If the hoodies don't have a solution looks like it it destined for box of bits that might come in handy one day! Cheers, Bri

You can get food safe glues and in practice most epoxy or cyano glue would be safe once cured but for the cost of a new bottle......
