My rear brake drums are fine until I've been out for a while then the o/s rear one is binding and hot .

Yet the n/s rear is free ....any ideas

Could be over adjusted on the handbrake mechanism, or they are not releasing after the brakes have heated up. Have a look and see what condition the springs/ mechanism is in,
