Hi Jonny, no you need side repeaters. I mounted ours under the wing mirrors. Actually on top, as per Chester Sports Cars Tigercat build, is better. Just so long as the IVA man sees them in the right place for him. Then after you've passed I guess you could mount them in a more sensible spot but don't quote me on that.

If I cut the real wheel holder off and mount the light on the back will that be ok for iva I can order some plastic dome caps to cover the holes so they won't be sharp

As Bob said, the outside edge of the wings is the way to go, the rounded LED ones fit well with no sharp edges.

The drawing Figure 1 in section 20 (installation Of Lights) in the IVA manual shows the viewing angles. The side repeaters require 5 - 60 Degree viewing from the rear.

5 Degree from the front wheels should clear the rear wheel arches, so you will be OK there.

GBS put them on their factory cars and sell them too.

There were no problems with them for my IVA pass in July
