Pinto 2.1, Bike Carbs, Gearbox & Mega Jolt System

Just removed my fully working Pinto 2.1 from my hood and its now up for sale to fund the Jag Engine refit

 

This is a full package including every element to get the engine working

Here are some details that I think cover it all:-

Engine 2,1 pinto with 285 piper cam and vernier pully, According to Mitch it was rolling road tuned to 128bhp at wheels (= 150 plus at flywheel)

Shortened sump Unleaded hardened seats & new guides

Fuelling, Kawasaki ZX6 carbs re jetted to suit

Timing by megajolt ignition system, fully mappable switch maps for race/road

Ford coilpack and full wiring harness with timing wheel, sensor and all connections and new coil leads

Quick shift gear lever ,

Type 9 gearbox (std ratio)

Red powder coated cam shaft cover

4 into 1 exhaust manifold and Stainless exhaust silencer, fully repacked in the last 18 months. Exhaust is 4.5” dia by 24” long

Brand new unopened timing belt and timing tensioner wheel included

Engine mounts and timing belt cover

Original fuel pump blanked off and Dizzy replaced with shortened shaft unit

 

I have done a breakdown for what it would cost to get all the bits individually based upon typical used values here:-

 

2.1 Pinto engine with fast cam £300

Type 9 gearbox £150

Stainless Carb manifold £100

Bike carbs £100

Mega Jolt £150

4-1 Manifold £25

Stainless can £25

 

That works out at £850

 

 

I would be looking for £700 for the whole package

Yep, as always sum of the parts etc etc...but I would rather just sell the whole thing as a complete unit - shame to split it up and makes life simpler for me as well....

 

If it does not sell for a while then I will think about splitting it

would be interested in the exhaust if you did split mine is rattly inside and could do with repacking but not repackable ( gbs one) so would need to attack with angry grinder :80: from the back and get it welded!

Hope you manage to sell the complete unit , but if you were to split the parts I would certainly be interested in the manifold, carbs, megajolt, exhaust etc. If I was a bit younger I would take the lot and not think twice about removing and fitting the new engine but time and the lack of good facilities makes that difficult. Thanks
