Top And Bottom Ball Joint Nut Sizes.

Ive lost the nuts some how for my top and bottom ball joints they look like m12 but wil a different tpi can so body tell me what they are ?

hmm if they are the transit drag link tops then they are M18 fine (1.5tpi i think) which are stupid expensive each.

 

Bottom ball joint i think is M12 fine again hard to get locally.

Depending which transit it came off could be 14mm - 16mm both 1.5 thread pitch but it may be less hasle to get a pear of new ones. IIRC the threads into top wishbone is 18mm * 1.5

Got some M12 fine Nyloc nuts from local bearing supplies company

All sorted they are the same as the wheel nuts I

Just turned some down and used some thread lock

ah yes i did that when i misplaced one of mine, but ended up finding it so back to nylock.

One of mine came loose, so suggest you get a Nyloc nut for long term use but good to know that you can modify wheel nuts, good for an emergency repair
