pipe glue might do the job. The stuff that joins plumbing waste pipe. Screwfix, homebase etc will stock it

I have used a superglue called Q bond in the past which was pretty good too.

can you see any marking on it which would show what its made of?

Its most probably Glass filled Nylon/ ABS which is most commonly used in injection moulding for automotive use....

Try getting some of this...should do the trick http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/epxy_plstc_s/overview/Loctite-Epoxy-Plastic-Bonder.htm

At work we use stuff called advanced adhesives PP3000. It smells vile, but is designed to bond to the low energy surface of certain plastics. Basically if you use the wrong glue, it can't stick to the surface due to the way plastics are chemically formed

We use a lot of Q bond in work (heavy handed fitters) on bumpers, light casings etc and it hasn't let us down yet, just make sure the surfaces are properly prepped.

We get the boxed version with two vials of "superglue" and two of filler (one black and one grey).
