Any Vw Eos Tdi Owners On Here

Anyone on here own one? Wondering what true mpg figures and how reliable they really are. I commute 600 miles a week and need a cheap to run reliable car but want a drop top. My love affair with French cars is at an end (except my 3.0v6coupe)

I'd expect a solid 55mpg, usual vag pd issues with oil pumps and egr valves..... Get yourself an octavia and a mx5 ffs

Already got a 307cc but with a few recent issues I've had enough and want a more reliable version of the same thing

A guy at work, his misses is on her second........his veiws are that it's a good car and they've had no problems with the only downsides being crap boot space because of the folding roof and it's not very responsive on the accelerator

 

real life average MPG is about 38-40 on standard models (which was her first car) and 50-53 on the bluemotion model (which is her current car).

girl at work has one, roof leaks on both back seats, drinks oil, shreds tires due to extra weight in the boot but she loves it.

Can't speak for the Eos Dan, but as for the VW tdi engine, can't fault it (touch wood).

Have had a Golf 1.9 GT tdi for 11 years (it's now the wifes) and it failed to start for the first time Friday morning (original fitted battery died). Apart from that, had no problems.

Depending on your right foot (& load), we get high 50's to the gallon (defo over 55 on a run).

 

Make certain the cam belt has been changed regularly (every 4 years).

I've got the 2.0 tdi in my Altea, 40mpg round town, upto low 50's on a run. No problems for over 40k miles.

We used to have a 1.9 tdi, great engine but a bit noisy and rough against the 2.0.
