1975 RAC car press photo and the car in action!

Apparently photos were taken the same week, the week of the event.

Just too easy, I wonder how many LAR801P ford had in the factory ??

I was reading the history of POO504R the sister car to 505R (the Cossack sponsored car) that Roger Clark won his 2nd RAC in.

504 had 5 body shells in 3 years, the last one was finished the week before a massive British Rally.

The Boreham guys had to take, what was effectively a brand new car for its 1st MOT so they could get it taxed!! It passed 1st time. :clapping:

Not unusual in the golden years of Boreham to see a car out with different number plates front and back, just down to preparation tome or lack thereof.

Not that many years ago I was told the Ford team were picked up and given a talking to when cars with the same reg number were competing on different continents on the same weekend. They were Mk1.5 Focus' from what I was told.
