Electronic Ignition

So i get my cbr carbs on and running..everything needs to be tune in just..

Before i do that i woud like to put electronic ignition and adjustable pulley and do it right then..

Holidays coming and i really dont want to spend lots of money..pulley around 100 and vacumless ignition aroun 250 plus posting etc..so thats near 400..i find second hand pulley for 50 and electronic dizzy plus coil etc 100 thats a great saving but is it worth buying that second hand?ignition was on sierra stock car running uprated kent cams and 32/36 carb..all man know to tell me was that it was bosch and it was competition electronic ignition..shoud i buy or not?no postage or nothing near me 150 all in for bouth things..

is it the stock sierra bosch dizzy with ampliier module? My pinto came with this as standard. Pretty reliable from what i understand.

 

I think you can buy electronic inner parts for contact point dizzy conversions though

No it is some competition ignition and it was costing him 200£ and it come from england..

ive got cbr carbs and an accuspark dizzy.. works perfect for me.

 

also I got a new vernier for 70 quid iirc. .

 

so your 400 just dropped to 170 and all new parts. check anembo engineering for verniers

I mean dizzy with no wee vacum pipe cos i dont really want to drill that manifold and stuff..

Its cheap pulley there..sweet..only one i see in ebay were over 100..ill ring accuspark tomorrow maybe..thanks for advice..

Just run the accuspark without the vacuum connection, will be fine.

I can vouch for Aldon Amethyst at Aldon Engineering in Birmingham. They lock the advance mechanism on your existing distributor and the little amethyst box does the rest. Worked wonders for a while, however i've recently changed camshaft so awaiting on a rolling road session.
