Splitting Diff

cant get it apart cant find info on how to get it apart only info I can find is on other diffs and the others show a bolt in that hole that you take out which releases the planet gears but on this diff in that hole looks like a spring pin and no way of getting that out Edited May 24, 2015 by tractor

The bearing retainers do unscrew found it best way to replace oil seals. Cant remember if left or righthand thread. I think i used a punch and hammer.

That's well corroded! You need to make or buy a special star type spanner. Have you tried heating it up and applying plenty of release oil?

They do like a bit of warm.

weld angle iron together to form a cross. you get 4 points to attatch to it to turn then.. plus a few days sat with plusgas on it

I have got the trusted essential hoodies tool the 9" angry grinder that will sort it out don't need the casing just the guts
