Hi. I'm putting rear wing on 2b, followed old videos exactly, I don't lik the large gap between wheel and wing. Does adjusting coil overs higher and lower car or just harden and soften suspension. Many thanks. Dave

It's not great is it, I had the same issue.

You could lower ride height but this will give too much camber, camber wedges can be fitted to reduce the problem but rear toe can then get too much. I found if the rear ride height is set to give about 1deg of camber them toe was about 0.5deg. When you lower the ride height the toe increases I think lowering an inch gave another degree of toe which I think is too much. I lowered the arches 1 tab at the back and 2 tabs at the front and remade the bends to suit. I also lowered the suspension an inch which looked spot on. However the car did bottom out so I put the suspension back up, the wheel arch move reduces the gap by 30mm and doesn't look too bad.

Adjusting the coilovers only adjusts the height.

To adjust suspension harder or softer, you need a combination of different springs and

adjustable shockers.

The 2B was "designed" to have a big wheel arch gap.

Its because we use the standard Sierra rear end.

Just because it was designed to have the gap doesn't mean you need to build it like that.

Put the wing where it looks best and fill the gap with some 0.7mm sheet steel for a much better look.

I have found 7" just in front of rear wing measured from bottom of sill to ground makes a good free none grounding ride. This I adjusted on coil over.

The front measurement from sill to ground was set at 6". Just behind wishbone rear mounting bracket.

I have just completed fitting the shims on the rear hubs. Wanted to start fitting new rubbers on all front ball joints but the missus came home complaining of strange noises coming from the rear of her van.

Turned out one of the front brake pads was worn so low, it was moving inn the caliper when you changed direction.

Stuck in new pads,(luckily Jayar factors was still open at half five) all was good. Nice lady, when she was on the phone ordering two new front tyres I told her I needed a new tyre for the spare on Robin. She ordered and paid for. Love her really.

Will complete the front end tomorrow the put it back on the ground and see how she sits.

Will let you know in case you decide fitting new shims.

We started earlier on solving this issue.

i've been wondering about making some 'spats' to hide the gap without having to significantly change the arch position. these are chrome but hopefully give you the idea of what i was thinking http://www.amazon.co.uk/wheel-arch-extensions-spats-arches/dp/B0038Q8KA0 i'd make mine black and probably out of fibreglass to fit my arches.

We started earlier on solving this issue.

Thats a very good remedy, just not so sure about the bubble bot. Never been into the Kardashians back end. QUIET BOB.
