Luckily we have a material wholesalers close by. I asked for a light waterproof material and they suggested something which is like what a light waterproof jacket would be made from. They suggested a leather sewing machine needle which is stronger than a normal needle. This was worthwhile as the sowing machine struggled to get through the folded material and one snapped. They also suggested heavy weight thread.

 

First we made the centre part and attached the rear straps. Once that was tight we moved onto the side triangles.
