Yeah it will just check teeth on inpu shaft they do a 18 and 19 tooth one

Don;t think so as 1st gear ratio on the V6 is different to the 2 litre type 9.

Jaimo, 2.8 / 2.9 v6 has 19 tooth input shaft. Standard type 9 has 18 teeth. You would probably need to change the lay shaft gearset to suit the 19 tooth v6 shaft if you want to fit that.

If you check on my post above all the input shafts are 23 spline.

I have just been in the workshop and checked both a 4 speed and a type 9 5 speed and they are indeed 23 spline.

The difference between a V6 box and the 2 litre one is length of input shaft and the ratio.

That shaft on eBay retains the 2 litre etc gear ratios and doesn't give you the "better" 2.8/9 v6 ratio. It does give you a cheaper way of getting the longer shaft length if you need that for fitting a different engine.

Just don't forget if you push the bell housing back you have to move the cluch release bearing forwarded the same amount as the spacer so hole in bell housing may need changing or the release arm and the bearing carrier in the front of the gearbox may need to be extended

Each and every action has a reaction
