Arrow to the engine front.

 

Can't see the numbers very well but it looks like + 50 thou over size.

 

Means it has had a re-bore at some point.

40 thou is usually max people reborn to.

It could be re bored to try making it into 2.1 engine.

This was the engine I got off Keith (unclechief) he says someone here did engine so not sure its a 205 block

205 blocks have 205 cast in the side of the block mate.

If it not there plain to see, it's not a 205.

However people do all kinds of things with different blocks.

ie I have a crossflow bored out to 1760cc

The earlier, weaker, 2 litre blocks had 20 cast in the side.

what the 205 its basically a block that is a deritive of cosworth and has thicker walls so can rebore bigger piston etc correct me if wrong

Gotcha.

It means you have got a 205 block.

I believe it's 0.5mm overbore

so what sort of bhp would that add to standard

I think its 2bhp per cylinder but I may be wrong
