A thought experiment along these lines. If you were travelling in a vehicle at light speed would you be able to see the headlight flash of the sprinter van trying to overtake?

LOL

Just got my letter from VW today.

In summary......my 1.6 needs a mechanical fix, (a flow straightener in front of the MAF), and a software fix.

VW will not guarantee that performance or fuel consumption will be unaffected.

I'm gonna wait until many other cars have been done & see what happens to them.

Shame, I love the Golf estate.... but I wont be buying any more VAG cars.

In future I can only see them being one of, if not the most honest companies as far as pollution and consumption figures are concerned.

They will have to get their customer base back.

Light can easily be bent, look at how prisms work. But, to address the bending of light around a star or black hole, it is the space itself which is bent by the presence of the massive body and light just travels around this bend.

Kind of like Brooklands racetrack was ...

Simon.

talking about lights, has any one else noticed that head lights on cars now seem to have more spread on dip than they use to have, the edges of the head lights don't seem to have the same cut off just a blur
