New Plenum Finished!

Photo of finished plenum in place. Rubbed down to 1200 grit (took a lot of Saturday up!), just need to give it a final polish and connect the cool air ducting. Also going to fit a stay bar back to the engine or carbs.

Looks good where are you going to take the cooler air from?

There's just enough room to take a 76mm duct passed the oil cooler hoses and over the radiator to pick up air from inside the nose cone.

does it have an air filter inside or putting a cone filter on the end of the ducting?

Yes, it does fit under the bonnet. I made a rough pattern in wood first and put in position, then used pointy bits of plasticine stuck on it and carefully fitted the bonnet into place to check clearances. I have a Ramair cone filter that I'm thinking of using on the end of the ducting but may have to get a slimmer one as space is tight and don't want to block off the radiator. Not sure yet if I am going to use flexi duct for all of the length or replace some of it with 76mm aluminium tubing. Using all flexi will give me more choice on position.

Finally managed to complete the intake tubing, just need to get an extension tube and filter over the rad and miss the inside of the nosecone! The grooves showing on the plenum are just reflections. Check fitted the bonnet again and all is still clear
