Alternator

Any body holding on to or wanting to sell a 2 litre pinto alternator? I think mine died last night?!? Not tested it yet, so just putting the feelers out. Cheers.

If it is a std. Sierra one then parts are still readily available, it's likely to be either the regulator or the rectifier pack, nip it down to your local auto electrician and get it tested.

 

Exchange they are around £60.00 so not the end of the world if you do need new.

Thanks for that. I'll get it checked over the weekend. I put her away in a bit of a sulk last night. But we're talking again now.

Have a spare Sierra alternator if required.

A lot of the fords during the 80s & 90s used the same alternators (as did many industrial vehicles) - always used to blag them off my dad from his fork truck business
