Gear Lever Position

I have a S7 and a false elbow joint, I was wondering if anyone has fitted one of the RMD gear change linkage plates from flea bay that moves the gear lever position back 130mm on a type 9 box and a short shift lever & if so did it make any difference

If you personally have the false elbow a short shift will make the change much heavier & maybe more difficult.

Thanks but I have titanium elbow joint after suffering an accident, I am 90% there but its the stretching to change gears that gets me (i'm only a little fella) & I thought it might be easier if lever was closer.

Have it closer mate, but not shorter.

if you have it short put a heavy gear knob on it
