Yep! I also park as far away from the doors as possible, I also have one of these stickers on my cars, so they know what to expect if I'm around!

I only go to a supermarket once a year (Xmas shopping) rest of the time they deliver or send Becks in the 4X4 long wheelbase pick up truck, needs 2 space to park in the one its in and the space in front so the tow bar isn't sticking out park at an angle and not a soul parks near it

no your not never figured out why people have to park next to another car when there's lines of empty spaces.

Its down to the size of the car parking space. I thinks Tesco's and other supermarkets think we all still drive Ford Anglia and size the space accordingly.

The solution -- not available to us old folk -- park in the "Mother & Baby" slots -- but may not be an economic solution.

The reason is even more bureaucratic than that.

I found out when I was auditing a bank that was having a new building put up, that the council

insisted on any business having a minimum number of car parking spaces when building new premises.

The easiest way to do that is make them smaller.
