Just looked at my notes. I used Gaz 13 inch open length with 1/2" rose joints both ends (can't remember why the rose joints, I think it may have been that bushes would have been too long). Boots fitted to rose joints. Top mounts bushed down to take existing 3/8 bolts. Spacers used to centralise rose joint position. 120lb x 9" springs. Tie bar mod.

 

Photo of bottom strengthening below. This was done because I had heard of cracking at this point.

As Big Jim say above. Do not just tighten the nuts on the stud. This will distort the mountings and stop the top wishbone from moving freely. If you are going to Stoneleigh this weekend you can have a look at my car, and others to see what we mean.

I would love to go to Stoneleigh but it's my 60th birthday on Monday and my wife is dragging me off for a weeks holiday. Rather be tinkering with the RH!!
