Which Carbs Have I Got

Recommended Posts

I had a VV on a 83 Sierra 1.6.......utter carp.....and a Pierburg on my 1.8 donor

even more carp...

Google WEBER, and FORD VV images.

They all look very different. But there are several Webers that were fitted to 2.0 pintos.

try 32/36 DGAV or 32 DFTH for starters

Webber carbs have Webber on embossed on them in at least two places.

VW have a movable slide in the entry to alter its size.

Pier burg I'd don't know but I would think they would have either pier burg or ford on them.

The common engines to have vv were the cvh.

Thanks for all the replies. I did have a very quick look at the carbs yesterday and couldn't see a name on them but will look again. The question was driven on trying to buy some replacement hoses and finding there were two derivatives of the hoses.

Will investigate further today.

Hi. Didn't know you had multiples.

Is there two of them mounted to the side of your engine with the intakes on the side?

As Bob says, a picture would help.

Not too sure.....but I think its a 32/36 DGV.

You dont need anything special for fuel tube.

You dont need high pressure fuel tube, just make sure

it is suitable for fuel.

Any motor factor should be able to supply it.

What were the 2 hose derivatives you found?

Thanks again for all the replies.

The hoses I was looking at are a full engine replacement set but there was an optoon for either weber or vv carb.

The plan is to clean and refresh the whole engine bay as it's never received the same care as the rest of the car.
