If you have had the glass off, remove it again, clean the seating and refit making sure it mates squarely on its rubber seal.

If it is continually making bubbles and not just one big one all the time, you possibly have a leak on the diction side side of the fuel pump. Either the pipe joints or the pipe itself.

Make sure all the male nuts go into the socket parts of the joints evenly and square.

Where is the pump situated? It needs to be near the tank and push not pull.

+1 for above but some pulling will be required. Unless of coarse pump and feed below tank level.

Ideally the low pressure pump should be as near to the tank as possible and at least level with this bottom surface of the tank.

If this is not possible, it is not the end of the world and should still wor as there is no great hight in a car.
