Hi All

ZX7R carbs fitted, running ok. Two questions:

I want to fit trumpets to the carbs, any suggestions on what type to use?

On a Pinto engine breather pipe, do I just block the pipe off?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks Mal

I'll clarify..the longer intake trumpets the better..it gives a better spread of torque..don't worry about the maths..it's fact. Just make sure you don't compromise air filtration

Mine run on the original trumpets and take their intake from a plenum. I think you will have to make up some adaptors if you want to fit non-original trumpets.

As Jaimo says, for the breathing run any pipes to a vented catch tank

Never ever block any breathers on a pinto! I ran a simple 2 pipe system into a vented catch tank , pull the vac operated valve out of the block either disable the valve or get the adapter [simple 90 degs],put a line from rear of cambox to a biggish tank 1litre plus with a filtered breather on top job done ,I got more condensation than oil ,simple wipe out before any trip mick

Thanks everyone for your advice, I think I will go for the original trumpet setup, just need to find some, good old eBay. Vent pipes sorted, Cheers Mal
