I have come to the painful conclusion I do not use the Kit often enough to warrant keeping it.

I have always wanted a Reliant Scimitar, but know from previous experience I can't have two toys and finish either of them so.... Eventually Bobson needs to make way. The mid engined Kitten has already gone.

Obviously the Scimitar will have a V8 in it eventually so here is my dilemma.

  • Do I use the kit over whats rest if the Summer and sell at Stonleigh?
  • Sell the kit now?
  • Break the kit for parts and keep the V8, it does owe me and I have out a lot of effort and money into getting the 275bhp!

Already have plans for the Scimitar, body off restoration, lowered just a little, better suspension and stiffer chassis and of course the V8.

Gonna do a bit of a spreadsheet to see how the numbers stack up with regards to the V8 and sell or break the car.

Using you lot as a sounding board.

In the mean time if somebody wants an f quick awesome sounding unique looking car.....watch this space and the for sale section!

I would put the car up for sale at a higher price than your average 2b now, if you get lucky great, if not i would have the v8 out and all the posh bits then sell on with a pinto or such like next year.

Piston heads is good because it gets the attention of foreign buyers...

Approaching the wrong season for selling so you may not get the right price. Wait till next year, I like the idea of sticking a pinto in then selling, win, win!

Thing is Pintos are getting expensive, I would need an exhaust, and the car just wouldn't look right with a 4 pot in it.

Its an option, but knowing my luck the one I bought would be a pile of crap!

I think Dan's idea about Piston Heads may be the way to go.

LS1 would be nice with a T56 box and some very big brakes! Might need to save a bit longer to go that route LS1 plus loom etc not cheap!

I just sold my mid-engined Kitten on the Bay and it only cost £20!

You just need to make sure that you use the correct category in eBay or you will be charged a higher amount. I've sold cars and m/cycles on there with no problems

Well it's done.

Bobson is for sale on piston Heads and cars and classics.

silly power V8 Scimitar, I'm coming to get you...... via a long and, no doubt, tortuous route!
