Rx8 Box In A Zero

Has anyone fitted a RX8 box in a Zero. 1st of all does it fit into the tunnel. What other mods are required

Don't know about fitting but you will end up with a very low 1st.

I have no experience of this but I found a couple of threads on another forum. The bellhousing is slightly bigger than an MT75 so if you have an MT75 fitted you might be OK. They say that 1st gear is useless but these are the ratios that someone posted. JHope it helps

 

1st 3.760
2nd 2.269
3rd 1.645
4th 1.187
5th 1.000
6th 0.843
Reverse 3.564
Final drive 4.444

Looked at this a while ago. The V6 type 9 has the best ratios of all the budget options imho. The torque you will have with the charger will be wasted on rx8 ratios just my opinion thou others are sure to disagree. I run the the V6 ratios in mine and it works well. When I find one I want a 3.54 diff which will make it near perfect

Yeah that was me leaving Richards heading home. I took the car across to his house on Tuesday after being in Wrexham getting the exhaust done.

Ive read that the 5 speed is better than the 6 for boosted cars in regards to ratios

1st 3.48

2nd 2.01

3rd 1.39

4th 1

5th 0.80
