How many kg of wire has your mig used so far? Would suggest that the powered groove roller is worn - i:e the groove has grown larger & does not grip the wire as well.

If a twin groove roller try the other groove or take just a smidge off the diameter in the lathe. Depending how the torch & umbilical are used /stored there could be a slight kink in the steel lining -- which is very similar to the spring wire used for net curtains --- guess what: that works a treat & can be bought at Homebase for a few quid.

Try also to ensure the wire liner is connected to the welding current --- will save having all the power crossing over just at the tip contact point..

not a huge amount, most of a stainless small reel and a bit off the mild steel 5k and a small reel of flux cored. Might strip the liner out and see if there are any kinks.

I'll check the roller too while i'm at it.

thanks
