Bmw X1

My last company car was an X1. It was the diesel powered 2 wheel drive version. Can't remember the exact model number. I towed our caravan, 19 foot 4 berth Coachman with out any problems. It returned up to 50mpg on a run and about 30mpg when towing. I had it for 4 years without any problems other than it being rubbish in snow like any rear wheel drive BMW.

Yes you can change nose weight by moving goods around in the van.

BUT most vans I have checked have very little load capacity, manufactures plated max weight is often only 50 to 75 Kg above delivered weight.

When you add gas cylinders, Plates, cutlery, glasses, rain gear, boots etc. you are often overweight.
