Pics!!!!! :clapping:

This is Moog6.

Moog6 is a Robin Hood 7, 1984 Ford Sierra based. Has a 2ltr Pinto engine, type 9 gear box, Sierra running gear. Has Type 40 Webbers, Was fast when I got it and after a £200 tune up on a rolling road, well what can I say, frightening flat out at 111 mph on the rolling road responded beautifully. I think it would fly lol.

Moog6 was registered in 1996.

Has photo build from new, diary from star to present.

He is going through a complete new image, face uplift if you like. I'm so in love with this car!!!

I am a big fan of the Prisoner and always wanted a Lotus 7 S2 but alas it's not to be. So, this beauty caught my eye, bought it in June with the idea of changing the look in the style of the Prisoner S2.

Work is commencing lovely and now the cars taking shape. :clapping:

Designed the dash myself, incorporating Lucas Style Toggle switches Name tags, Hexagonal warning lights, New Smiths gauges.

Pics to follow.......

Pics.....

Have fitted all Lucas lights.

Have Bullet type for Cam shell wings.

Also had made original style Seats as per S2. These were made and supplied from Mick at xtraspecialsevens.co.uk

Mick has done an amazing job, he's very helpful and is simply the best around!

Extremely pleased! :clapping:

Now I am just fitting them to my requirements, which is a long process as I want them just right!

More updates as they progress.

Great build & attention to detail --- but keep the old seats for use on long trips. We have a 1963 Lotus 7 near us & the owner will always use his Lotus Elan if travelling more than a few miles, 2 inches of flat foam makes the bum numb very quickly.

Would it be safe to say that the Lotus 7 from The Prisoner is the car that had the greatest influence on the kit car scene? Not only in terms of the style of cars but more so in the concept of a car built by your own hands.

Yes,

I would agree. It was just so mind boggling, so different!!! It represents freedom, rebellion against control. We, sadly, are living in a very brainwashed world. It's nice to get into the car and as Patrick McGoohan would say, "Escape".

I fell in love with it on watching the first episode of The Prisoner during the 70's.

It's a beautiful car!

Now thanks to Robin Hood kit cars of the past, I can live my dream of that car as near as dam it!

Of course who wouldn't want to own an original Lotus 7 S2, but it's a bit out of my price range, lol.

Certainly the opening sequence of "The Prisoner" captured & re-enforced my thoughts on building my own car, but wish I had the skill to fabricate a Type 35. Colin's creation was available for £1600 in the beginning --- far too much for an apprentice electrician at the time.

I have just found out that I can legally have clamshell wings on my car. As the kit had them in 96.

So that's fantastic news.

Tomorrow I start to fit the boot floor and then the rear seat board.

Really enjoying this build!

Recent sales on my first book Tony Hancock- Spiral, has gone a long way to paying for all of this.

Hi everyone,

Been fitting the boot floor today, which I admit was painstakingly a long job!!! :80:

But after much cutting and measuring fits like a glove. It's been fitted so it can be removed for access too.

Working on the rear back board, wood for driver side floor, grill for newly painted nose cone, tomorrow.

All going well and to plan.

Will keep you all posted.

Ok, well that was weird! Being a bit too young for the Prisoner, i just watched the opening sequence on YT - errr, interesting!

I've often heard of the big white ball and the 'I am not a number' quote etc but they never meant much to me.

Car is looking good!

Edit: hmm, just spent some time on IMDB reading some of the quotes from the series - were there a lot of drugs around in the 70s? :-)

Too innocent & poor to even hear of the drug scene back then; sitting in the village pub trying to make a half last was our limit.

Did completely re-build a '63 Mini Estate that could keep up with big Healys though.

It was an amazing series, very ahead of its time!

Portmeirion is quite simply a Beautiful place and will visit next year with Moog6.

Working on flooring today just placing and waterproof sealing up.

Pics later to follow.

Thanks everyone for your interest.
