September 6, 20187 yr My winter project is to ignore it during the cold months and hope by summer its solved all its problems on its own
September 6, 20187 yr Remove boiler & investigate/renew wooden bearers underneath --- set fire to one during a prolonged steaming with maximum fire in grate. Wasn't a great problem --- just opened a hull valve & let the launch "sink" a little. It's the joys of old technology & old men combining.
September 7, 20187 yr My winter project will hopefully be kitting out an entirely new garage (fingers crossed we're moving!) with doors, insulation, heating, new floor, pillar lift, etc... and not touching a car at all!
September 7, 20187 yr Finish last years winter mods Also, as Dan, kit out new garage, oh and start building another one. Edited September 7, 20187 yr by theduck
September 7, 20187 yr my plans will be...…... pull engine and box out, replace thrust bearing, sort slack in short shift, put old pivot pin back, get prop checked and balanced, sort speedo pick up, replace drive shafts check diff and replace if ness re-do boot, replace crap grey carpet, fit new bonnet that has been sat for two years change front brake pads change rear shoes and maybe a rear brake conversion. In reality, prob drain fluids, brake pad/shoes and put coolant back in next year lol!
September 7, 20187 yr Oooo you've just reminded me I do have a rear diff seal to do... hmmm... that can probably wait until spring
September 7, 20187 yr Maybe, maybe, let's see how this weekend goes - don't want to count my chickens
September 7, 20187 yr Well I`ve had a reminder from the road tax man saying times up at the end of this month, and I dont think i`ll be taxing her for another 6 months, so I suppose I better think about replacing my valve caps
September 7, 20187 yr impressive, either have too much time on your hands or just awesome! go with the latter lol No chickens are coming to EOSB just a BULL (Plus kit car not essential!) Edited September 7, 20187 yr by unclechief
