Thinking of a turbo instead of the supercharger, just wondering what exhaust manifolds you have used and what turbos, only after 12psi max boost.

Turbo wise you cant go wrong with a td04 from an impreza. Spool up quickly, available easily and cheaply and good for the boost you want and a touch more.

But I thought the super charger was the mutts nuts Dan

Easy build, I used the original ford focus one which was modified to fit the turbo

must be sick of the whining lol

Want a project so thought a turbo sounds like a fun simple thing to try and yes the whining is an issue with the dB meters at the track, won't get through on the stricter tracks

performance boost exhaust manifold then you can put turbo on top or underneath no welding needed just adjust exhaust to fit

Are you sure you can cope with turbo power

You turbo lot are all torque....

How much bhp and ft-lb have you lot been getting out of yours ? I.m guessing at 12psi torque will be similar to my charger but later in rev range and bhp around 270bhp 30 up on my charger due to the parasitic lose chargers have.

i think Matt got around 255bhp with his setup Deans was slightly lower due to a manifold leak mine has not been RR yet so dont know but i am pleased with the torque its putting out just need more revs got the hard limiter set to 6200 and i want more

so going to go back to a full ST170 setup running VVT and turbo set rev limiter to around 8000 maybe a little more and see wot happens

Always kept mine limited to 6500rpm power tailed off at 5700 so pointless reving any further on mine. Cheers for all the info will be collecting parts over the next few months

You have the silver top engine which can't rev to high cos of the hydraulic lifters

Raised the gearing and kept the rpm low, much safer and more reliable
