Hi everyone I have a 20 pinto rh mk3 can anyone tell me if there should be a cover that goes over the pedals in the engine bay I can see screw holes but previous owner said it didn't have one, any advice on where I could get one and is there anywhere in Scotland that does spares for robin hoods

Thanks Derzo

Yes should have a stainless steel cover.

Very unlikely you will find a spare but it is a simple folded sheet with tabs for mounting

Any fabricator should be able to do a simple cover out of steel or aluminium tray will do the job

The main reason is to strengthen the box so that pressing the clutch doesn't just distort the front edge of the box. If you have an internal strengthener between the front of the box and the firewall to prevent that (Some SVA/IVA inspectors wanted one, some didn't) then the top is not so important.
