Standard Cars?

So you call for an insurance quote and they ask if its a 2 or 4 door. Erm, no mate. They ask if its convertable, sort of. Is it modified? What??? Its mafe from old jam jars and a few bits of string. What is standard on a kit car. Sounds like a way out if you claim to me. Any thoughts.

^ What he said. I would never even contemplate ringing Direct Line (et al) for a quote :) assuming that's what you've done. If a kit specialist is asking daft questions like "is it standard" then I'd try another; like you say, what on earth is the measure of "standard" :D !?

Time to try a different one.

Start with A-Plan, they will do a discount for club members

if you choose to join. They are very helpful, knowledgeable, and good value.

I pay £130 which includes breakdown insurance, with 30 days European cover.

Ring the Thatcham number & speak to (IIRC) Claire who deals with RH insurance.
