Boot lock, latch

Hi 

Hope everyone had a good Xmas and New Year, I am currently doing a few odd jobs with the Hood whilst waiting for parts to arrive to start dash rebuild.

My boot lock hasn't worked for ages and I'm sure ive seen kit cars with no visable lock and some sort of push to open mechanism. 

Ive looked at the magnetic type that are on kitchen doors etc but not sure if the magnets are strong enough to hold boot closed on a "bumpy" road.

Any ideas or what have others used if not a normal key.

could use aero catches. quite flush and some are lockable ...look racy too 

or some pitking catches
