Attack of nostalgia

My latest project was the result of a nasty attack of nostalgia, I wonder if any of you older guys remember this classic (some say) bike of the early 60's. It was a 250cc 2 stroke which was the largest bike you could ride on "L" plates, just happens to be my introduction to motorcycling. An ebay buy, which has now had a total restoration by me.267790558_Resizedto1MP.png.02c8b0521b193489125f3deb0325d7da.png

I have a bike but only started in the late 90s, so this was a bit before my time. Looks great though, love the white walls! Did you do the restoration yourself?

Edit: ah, just saw the 2 significant words on the left of your photo 😊 - great job!

Wow that looks amazing.

Not much of a bike man myself as parents and then wife against me riding any😂.

Not to give too much away I think my friend had one of these and then went on to the square four if i'm heading the right way.

Would be a great competition identifying old motorbikes - think it's been done though - but always good.

I will show my brother in law who was a cafe racer during 50's/60's meeting at the Brands Hatch cafe.

Arial Golden Arrow (Super Sport)?  Looks really nice, one of my friends had one in the day.  He loved laying down a smoke screen from the exhausts!

Yes with the throttle wide open cars behind you would turn on their headlights to be seen. Hopefully with modern semi synthetic two stroke oil at a leaner mix it will run more cleanly. I haven't run it in anger yet, waiting for some warmer weather.
