Ideal pinto running temperature?

Went out in my kit for its first proper drive since going back on the road, mixture of national speed limit roads and town traffic, and due to setting the fan control wrong, maintained a coolant temps of 85-90*c the entire time, which I think is a little on the cold side?  Can anyone confirm what the ideal temperature range is and I can tweak my settings to suit.

Cold is good for power, not so good for emissions.

id be happy with that as it gives some headroom for spirited driving.
