Hi All,

My 2B failed its MOT on lower bushes for front suspension, defective item circled in this photo: https://photos.app.goo.gl/CeSkUJcVCTzJn6qo8

I am trying to find replacement bushes - can anyone identify if the front suspension is from a standard Robin Hood offering or kit, or some other type?

More Pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/5qGME3qfUNCaNeSm7

Edit:

I have found this: http://nw.rhocar.org/parts.htm but I think before I start ordering parts, I need to work out if this is a standard RH2B suspension setup...it looks different to many photo's of other 2B's as I am researching and trawling the internet :)

Edit 2:

Found this link: http://nw.rhocar.org/identification.htm looks like my variant is this:

2B sliding pillar. Both top & bottom anchorages are fixed, and the hub slides up & down a shaft.

Can anyone else confirm?

yes it is a sliding pillar version. I think the original build videos are on youtube not sure where (can anyone point them out). This will show you how it all goes together and I think mentions what bush is used. I can't quite remember but i think it is probably the same bush used in the macpherson strut but it's been a long time since i watched the video so could be wrong.

Hi Nick

The front suspension is sliding pillar from your pictures.

It depends if the bushes in the pillar are worn or it is the mounting of the 20mm shaft that was used  from the Sierra front strut is secure at the base mounting.

I had made some machined parts to mount my setup to improve what was fitted to mine.
